Crafty Creatives: A Favourite so Far!

This month the lovely people at Crafty Creatives have put together a rather sweet treat for us..Almost literally! I adore this box (CCBox 12) and have already been busy making things with the contents. Shall I show you what wonderful items we were treated to this month? Oh okay then!

How could I, Cupcake Mumma, not Oh and Ah and practically squeal with delight upon opening this latest box? We have this splendid art card which is just wonderful. I love the illustrations of the gummy bears, sweet jars and lollies. Also in the box is a recipe card from that lovely Cathryn Dresser of British Bake Off fame (I love that show), a mini cookie cutter (I received a heart shaped one) and some little embellishments for use on card, gift tags, fabric- anything really!
In the final picture you can see ice cream buttons, cupcake ribbon in blue, tags to decorate and have fun with designing and some brightly coloured ring beads.

Here is a close up of the full set of ice cream buttons. You can really jazz up an item of clothing, stick the ice cream firmly in place to the cone and loop through some chain for a unique necklace, or even snip the back off (carefully) to use as embellishments. The possibilities are endless!

Finally, the kit this month is a cross stitch kit with a variety of patterns to choose from. The kit comes with everything you need, as usual, even down to the little needle placed carefully in the fabric. Talking of fabric, included is a wonderful piece which I have forgotten to photograph! I'm sure someone will have a photo somewhere! The last treat in my box were 3 cakes which I have already turned into necklaces.

I think you'll agree that this is quite a fabulous box for June. Next month Crafty Creatives turn One! Look out for a truly great box I'm sure! As usual, I'm not sent these boxes to review. I pay for them and enjoy them as part of my crafting hobby and love to blog about them. I have inspired many a crafty mind to sign up so it's working!!

Have fun,
Cupcake Mumma x

Catch Up

Hello I haven't been blogging for a couple of days so thought it was time for a little catch up of my weekend! On Friday myself, Other Half (can't wait to write Husband so much easier!) Little Miss and Little Man went for a very civilized messy lunch at Wetherspoons. It was pretty packed but we got some comfy seats near other families so as to not spoil any OAPs peaceful, non-messy and very civilized lunch!
We managed to get Little Miss to actually eat something other than a tea cake, she tucked into two very fat and juicy sausages, demanded an egg with her crunchy chips and even tried pinching some of mine! Unfortunately this new found food love only appeared to last for that one afternoon..damn.

Little Man needs no encouragement and wolfed down his peas and sausage while Other Half and I enjoyed our usual. I even sneaked some of my new dairy free herb and garlic soft cheese- absolutely delicious with chips and salad! After our lunch we quickly left (despite my best efforts the surrounding area of the highchair always looks like I've brought pack of animals to dine not a one year old..) and went to the good old sweet shop. I bought some hard gums (yummy) and was taken in by the new American treats that have landed! I can't eat half of them but I'm a bit taken with our fellow neighbours and their sweet choices! Weird huh? I like watching those programmes like 'Dives, Dinners and Drive Ins' or something like that, the food across the land never fails to amaze me (and sometimes disgust me if I'm truly honest it's the portion sizes!)

On Saturday I went out to do some photography. I did indeed do this but I also did a bit of sneaky shopping! Nothing exciting but I shall share my finds anyway. The park was lovely and sunny  not too cold and not too packed. I stuck my earphones in, blocked out the world so it was just me and nature- bliss. Here are some shots from my day out:

As promised here are some of my finds of the day. I also bought myself a new top, leggings and some much need under crackers for myself and Little Miss!!

This lovely dressing gown was reduced to £3.50!

Socks from the charity shop they're lovely and fit both Little Miss and myself! Together with a new bodysuit for T this cost me a £1

And a new diary. I am in need of positive thinking and come June I can start writing in this bright new journal. Yey!

We also went to my Sister in laws on Sunday but I'm going to do another post on that. It was a pre birthday party and meal, a lovely day had by all. I'll post all this up later after real birthday celebrations and the first day back at school is over!

Santa,Sweeties and A Silent Night...

As promised I am updating you on our lovely day. Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to visit all the children this afternoon for a little party. As you'll see below I managed to root through Little Miss's wardrobe and find her a nice little outfit for this afternoon out. When I eventually arrived Santa was just parking his bottom ready to start reading the names out for these eagerly waiting children including my Little Miss and her 3 cousins (all dressed very smart may I add).

Little Miss was eyeballing this sack full of presents...I was feeling a bit mean so asked Little Miss and my nephew if they were absolutely certain they had been good enough to receive a gift from Santa. Doesn't sound too mean does it? No, not until they start looking about realising there are not too many children left! 'Has Santa not got us one?' They asked..What a way to make me feel bad!

Nephew number 2 however was called up shortly after my bad joke and as you can see was very pleased with his gift.
There was nice big train set inside this parcel, thumbs up apparently.
Then it was my nieces turn to go up. She decided to not sit anywhere near me (probably a good idea!) So I had to get a shot of her waiting, very seriously yet very patiently (after all it's serious business this waiting for Santa lark)
Collecting her pressie from Santa
Then it was Nephew no.1's turn. Again it was serious stuff waiting for his name but he was chuffed to finally be called to meet ol' Santa, not that I got a chance to capture that moment properly as he just kind of swooped in!

And my Little Miss finally got to go up bless her:
Having a chat with Santa

Always the one to get the parcel almost the same size as herself!

Unwrapping her dolly

Of course Little Man got a nice little (actually rather big) present, toys for the bath, a handy bath net for said toys (which funnily enough I've always wanted!) some stacking blocks and boats. He was chuffed just to get out the house to be honest!

After the party we left laden with sweets and feeling happy. Little Miss was disappointed that Santa wouldn't be tagging along on the bus home with us but "it's alright" I said, he'll be back to see you soon..the town lights switch on Wednesday evening so we're spending a little quality time watching them before queueing in the cold to visit him again!

As the title says I am now sat with 2 special little people asleep upstairs and the Other Half dribbling on my sofa fast asleep..Nice.
Until tomorrow,
Hannah x
