A-Z Challenge: B

B is for Baking

My blog name has probably given this away but I'm rather partial to the odd bit of baking. Despite the blog name and the large amount of cupcakes I actually own, I'm not actually a big cupcake baker. Although now and then I do pull out a rather good one:

Baking is something I really do enjoy doing. I bake with the children and I bake late at night on my own throwing a pudding together or some cookies. I'll stay up late to bake and decorate the children's birthday cakes and although I may be shattered I'm usually pretty pleased with the outcome.

What I really love to bake though are chocolate chip cookies. I make all these both gluten, wheat and dairy free which puts a lot of people off (good, even more for me then!) I visited my parent's house again this weekend and decided to whip up a small batch of cookies which barely made the hour mark! I forgot the recipe so they're definitely more brownie like and not as thin as I'd normally make them but they were still delicious (if I may say so myself).

Here are a few photos of my favourite bakes, hope you enjoy!

I find baking relaxing, you always know when I've had a stressful day - there is shortbread or a cake in the tin!

  2. I'm particularly fond of the teapot, but they all look amazing. They'd have to cut me out of my house if I had sweets like those around.
